As businesses grow, so does the list of daily tasks. Virtual assistant services are a valuable business investment when the tasks become too overwhelming for just one person.
This is why I decided to become a virtual assistant. I love helping women realize their dreams of running a successful blog and business.
Why Hire Me?
As early as 2008, I utilized websites and social media for “business” purposes. Before business pages even existed on Facebook, before the invention of Instagram and Pinterest, and long before they became the mega marketing tools they are today.
At that time, I was a community outreach specialist for an AmeriCorps program in California with absolutely zero knowledge of websites and marketing. However, I knew that using our website (which I helped create) and social media could be a powerful way to connect with our community.
I continued working with AmeriCorps for eight years, utilizing online platforms to reach a wider audience and inform our community. During that time, I also created this blog, learning a lot in the process. Fast forward to 2016, I left AmeriCorps and used everything I had learned to land my first virtual assistant client. I freelanced as I traveled that following year, picking up more clients as I went, and I’ve worked alongside bloggers, podcasters, and small businesses as a virtual assistant ever since.
I stay current on trends, particularly with WordPress and SEO best practices, and educate myself as best as possible. The most recent course I have taken is The Content Update System. I’ve also taken the SEO the Easy Way course and read both SEO ebooks by Make Traffic Happen (although they are now obsolete). I read SEO articles daily and follow the advice of This Week in Blogging, whose weekly newsletter should be in all bloggers’ inboxes.
Please look at my LinkedIn profile for a more extensive account of my experience.

My Recommended Products and Services
Bonus! I use these products and services, and recommend them to my clients.
Bluehost | A website hosting service for beginner bloggers. They have great deals for the first 2-3 years of service, which is just long enough to learn whether or not blogging is something you like or can make profitable.
Keysearch | A platform for looking up longtail keywords to create content cluster plans. Plus, a whole lot more!
Restored 316 Designs | They offer beautiful and feminine WordPress child themes based on the free Kadence theme. I use their Sage theme on this site and Cape Cod Travel Tips and have used the Create theme to redesign client sites. I like their system because you can purchase a theme and later add a block collection from another theme to freshen up the look of your site. I also use their Conversion Callouts collection, designed to highlight products, newsletter signups, and lead magnets.
Toggl | Free time tracking software for time management, project tracking, etc. This distraction-free desktop app has a Pomodoro timer in addition to time tracking and an idle warning. There are paid plans with even more features.
