I’m Brittany, the human behind She Goes With Purpose.
Reading and staring at maps have always been my hobbies. So, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geography with a minor in journalism, intending to pursue a career writing about places.
My nearly decade-long public service career with AmeriCorps utilized all that knowledge (which I paid thousands and thousands of dollars for), but it didn’t align with my dreams. So, I left it all behind in 2016 for more lucrative creative pursuits—and waiting tables, among other side hustles.
The valuable experience I gained in community outreach, social media management, design, and writing during my college and AmeriCorps years prepared me for this new path—one that I should have been on all along.
